Lobo’s Pop Art at the Nescau Mega Ramp

The Nescau Mega Ramp welcomes some of the most famous skate and BMX athletes of the world

The most famous worldwide professional skateboarders were there to challenge the 107 meters length and 27 meters high ramp, the same of a nine-floor building. It is the Oi Mega Ramp, the most radical competition of Skate and BMX of the world.

The Sambodromo at Anhembi Park has received one of the most famous and expected radical sport events worldwide: The World Skate Championship, with a Mega Ramp, set up especially for the event.

 

The Pop Art brought by the visual artist Lobo was all around the Rolling Stone Magazine stand, which had a great audience and everyone would to compete for an artwork of the artist

The winner of the first Brazilian competition was the well-known skater  Bob Burnquist and he was given an exclusive piece of art, made by Lobo especially for him.

The Mega Ramp is measured a nine-floor building and it is the only one installed in the South Hemisphere of the whole planet.

 

“I thought Bob would be the best skater to get the prize but I didn´t think things would go right so well. It was really nice having the opportunity to give the skater this artwork with a crowded Sambodromo.” Said Lobo.

Bob Burnquist is one of the great names of the Mega Ramp. For those who don’t know hin, the second biggest Mega Ramp in the world is in Bob’s backyard. The first biggest one is at Woodward Camp.
