[/vc_column_text][vc_separator el_width=”50″][vc_column_text]In October 2011 the city of Amsterdam has turned all its attention to Brazil. The Brazil – Amsterdam Festival was a vibrating and exiting introduction of the Brazilian culture.

The “multicultural” keyword represented not only the dancing or classical music but also the architecture and visual arts.

Lobo was invited to participate on the Festival and brought his colors to the city with an exhibition placed at the luxurious Mint Hotel.

With the “Sambadam” exhibition, which has cultural elements of both countries, Lobo portrayed icons from both cultures as Pelé, Carmen Miranda, Anne Frank (who has lived most of her life in Amsterdam), caipirinha drink, the famous bikes from Amsterdam, among others.

There was also an online contest where the participants had to create a sentence based on the theme “Along the streets of Amsterdam” and ran for an exclusive artwork as a prize.

The Brazil – Amsterdam Festival brings a little of Brazilian culture and art to the main square of the Dutch capital and takes place until November. The event is like a retribution to all the celebrations of the year of Holland in Brazil.

Both countries had discussed about the festival for years, for more than ten years, to be loyal to all the Brazilian and Latin-American production and it is compromised to show the modern and surprising features of the Brazilian culture.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row thb_full_width=”true” thb_divider_position=”bottom” css=”.vc_custom_1484333102705{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;background-color: #315d7f !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]
The city of Amsterdam turned its attention to Brazil, Brazil Festival Amsterdam was a vibrant and exciting introduction to Brazilian culture.

[653,652,568,605,651,564
post-4176","portfolio","type-portfolio","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-amsterdam-en","tag-amsterdam","tag-artist","tag-brazil","tag-festival","tag-pop-art","portfolio-category-exhibition

See too:
