Its striking Colors and Tropicalism is the strong point in the Brazilian Art of the Artist Lobo

Firstly, Lobo did not think about being a painter and one day being part of Brazilian art. He just liked to sketch the faces of close friends with acrylic paint.

In 2003, at the time only advertising, he created, unassuming, a series of small colored pictures that refer the observer to the Pop Art genre. With his learning, the artist incorporated elements of Brazilian art into his work.

The success of his work in intimate circles led him to exhibitions and, consequently, to live off his art.

Currently, the paintings by Artist Lobo illustrate the walls of many hipsters, who see art as a different form of decoration.

Lobo says that it was only after he started painting that he became aware of the miscegenation of existing cultures in Brazil. He has already painted for clients who, in a single family, portrayed up to 3 different countries, each representing a part of the family culture.

The Artist is from São Paulo, the largest city in the southern hemisphere and has a long history of integrating diverse ethnicities and cultures.

With a painting in vibrant, flat colors, the artist’s Brazilian art blends perfectly with the joy of Brazil 

He is a big fan of Oscar Niemeyer and his historical monuments. One sees a lot in his work, the diversity of Brazilian fauna and flora, and also the brightly colored Carnival, most of the time, always portraying the history of his clients.

“I love Brazilian art, I look for references in the modernist architecture of Oscar Niemeyer, Lina Bo Bardi and Ruy Ohtake, and in the landscaping of Burle Marx,” added Lobo.

The harmony of colors in his works is present in the composition of strong tones, derived from plants and native fruits, as a result, an explosion of colors!

His art comes full of tropical references, everything is very colorful and mainly very Brazilian!

Often, the highlight is the Copacabana sidewalk, full of style.

His paintings illustrate the particularities of Brazilian Cities like São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Florianópolis, Bahia.

And also traditions like the Frevo, the Baiana, the Indian, among many other themes.

The greatest wealth of Brazil is, without doubt, diversity of people, the beautiful natural landscapes and the Brazilian Art.

Brazilian Culture is rich and diverse. Carnival, Samba and Bossa Nova, Maculelê, its Beaches and Typical Foods, make Brazil unique.
