Urban Art
Urban Arts is a gallery of different art, offering a huge collection of paintings, prints, posters and design objects created by talented and independent artists from around the world.
Founded in 2009 by Andre Diniz, the nephew of billionaire Abilio Diniz, Urban Arts earned R $ 14 million in the unstable economic situation of 2015, selling posters, paintings and other decorative items with reproductions ranging from abstract art to photographs.
Before becoming a Urban Art franchise, the company began as a website to register interested artists. “It was me and three more,” says Diniz, who at the time still had time to create his own works.
The first physical store came in June 2011, at Oscar Freire Street, in São Paulo, and only in 2012, open for franchisees.
