Primeiro de tudo, nomear as melhores músicas alternativas (do meu jeito) é um fardo para qualquer um que se considere fã de Rock Alternativo.
Nos anos 2000, a popularidade da música alternativa empurrou-a para o novo “Mainstream”, com novas bandas independentes definindo sua música como “Indie Rock”.
